MEET CAMILLE Y. LILLY,
YOUR 78TH DISTRICT STATE REPRESENTATIVE.

Assistant Majority Leader Camille Y. Lilly is a member of the Illinois House of Representatives for District 78 in Chicago. Appointed in 2010, she has served as an Illinois State Legislator for more than ten years. Her overall goal is to ensure that every citizen has fundamental human rights and quality of life.
As a legislator, Lilly’s key initiatives include access to affordable healthcare for all, education funding and school reform, the sustainability of small businesses, the environment, and clean energy, funding for the arts in Illinois schools, property tax relief, fair and affordable housing, a balanced Illinois budget, police reform, and violence prevention. Lilly serves on the following caucuses and committees: Appropriations Human Services Committee (Chair); Appropriations Public Safety Committee (Vice-Chair); Labor Committee; Health Care Availability and Accessibility Committee; Insurance Committee; Financial Institutions Committee; Museums, Arts, & Cultural Enhancement Committee (Chair); Illinois Legislative Black Caucus (Past Chair); Illinois House Democratic Women’s Caucus (Past Chair).
Lilly is a graduate of Oak Park-River Forest High School. She received her Bachelors of Science in Management from Drake University in Des Moines, IA, and a Masters of Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma University. Lilly also maintains an executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Her professional affiliations include serving on the Board of Directors at Westside Health Authority and The Loretto Hospital Foundation; and the Columbus Park Advisory Council, Chicago Park District. In addition, Lilly is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Delta Sigma Pi, Incorporated.
