This year, Assistant Majority Leader Camille Lilly championed impactful legislation focused on public health, climate justice, education, and equity — and every one of these bills passed both chambers!


Here are some key highlights from the 2025 legislative session:

  • HB1540 – Expanding the Smoke Free Act

    • Bans e-cigarettes in most public spaces to protect public health.

  • HB1561 – Trauma Kits in Schools

    • Defines trauma kit standards for schools using U.S.-made materials.

  • HB2487 – Justice40 Oversight Committee Act

    • Ensures 40% of federal clean energy investments benefit disadvantaged communities.

  • HB3698 – Mental Health Support for Faith-Based Providers

    • Funds mental health grants for underserved faith organizations.

  • HB3699 – Jobs & Child Support Recovery

    • Connects job opportunities to help individuals get back on track with child support.

  • HB3955 – Emergency Room Protections

    • Stops hospitals from delaying emergency care based on ability to pay.

  • SB1774 – Access to Cancer Clinical Trials

    • Expands access to voluntary cancer trials for more patients.
